Cascade Springs

Location: [Cascade Springs], [Utah's Scenic Alpine Loop]

For my mother's birthday this year we treated her to a drive up around Utah's Alpine Loop with goes through the Uinta National Forest. Along the way we stopped at the beautiful Cascade Springs

While many of the Quaking Aspen haven't quite started to change yet, many of the maples and other trees are. The morning/early afternoon drive was quite beautiful

This is my first attempt and trying to create the 'smooth water' type effect with my camera. The trick was that I didn't have a tripod (I need to get one) and so I was doing the best I could by kneeling on one knee and bracing my elbow against my other knee. I know the shot could be better, but this is the one that turned out best that didn't have people on the bridge in the far background.
